Tattoo Aftercare

  1. After 3 hours, remove the bandage gently and wash with warm water and mild soap. DO NOT REBANDAGE 

  2. Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or A&D ointment 3 times daily for 3 days

  3. Shield your tattoo from direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds until the tattoo is healed, at least 7-10 days 

  4. Do not soak your tattoo in a tub, sauna, jacuzzi, or pool while your tattoo is healing. Showers are fine! 

  5. DO NOT rub, peel, or scratch your new tattoo while it is healing. Loss of color and/or infection could occur. 

  6. Your tattoo should be fully healed in 2 weeks. Consult a physician if any signs of symptoms develop such as redness at the site, green/yellow discharge, and/or fever 

Piercing Aftercare

  1. Wash hands with soap and water and dry with a clean paper towel. NO CLOTH TOWELS 

  2. Soak the area with sterile saline solution or a liquid anti-microbial cleanser 2-3 times daily. Best to apply with saturated sterile gauze.

  3. Dry the piercing area fully with sterile gauze. NO CLOTH TOWELS

  4. You may shower daily, use soap and rinse thoroughly. 

  5. During healing, you may experience some bleeding, localized swelling, tenderness, bruising, discoloration, itching, and secretion of a whitish-yellow fluid (not pus) that will form some crust around the jewelry as the piercing heals. 

  6. A piercing heals from the outside first, then inward, and may appear healed before healing is complete. BE PATIENT!

  7. Avoid the following: Trauma, oral contact, or playing with piercing. The use of alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, betadine, or ointments.

  8. Immediately seek medical attention if you suspect your piercing might be infected
